Department:_ Care Coordination is responsible for the utilization review, case management, discharge planning and documentation improvement for the majority of patients on all nursing units. The coverage of multiple units affords the nurse experiences in working with newborns to geriatrics. Our team's nurses have a vast array of nursing experiences with longevity from 10 to 40 years in the nursing field.
Position: The successful Manager of Care Coordination manages and coordinates daily processes and operations of the Care Coordination Department. Duties may include: assists in the management of the overall operational, budgetary, and financial responsibilities and activities; plans and allocates resources to effectively staff and accomplish the work to meet productivity and quality goals; makes business decisions that are financially responsible, accountable, justifiable, and defensible in accordance with organization policies and procedures; reviews performance data that includes quality, satisfaction, engagement, and financial reports; monitors and measures productivity, goal achievement, and overall effectiveness; participates in the preparation and maintenance of reports necessary to carry out the functions of the area of responsibility; prepares periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested, to track goal accomplishment; leads colleagues using performance management and development process that provides an overall context and framework to encourage colleague contribution.
Primary duty includes managing department and regularly directing the work of at least two or more employees. Supervisory authority includes authority to hire, transfer, suspend, layoff, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward, discipline, responsibly direct or adjust grievances. May evaluate performance and professional development of staff.

_Requirements:
_
1. Bachelor's degree;
2. RN with current Illinois licensure;
3. Strong background in Case Management, Discharge Planning, Utilization Review processes, and insurance certification and authorization issues;
4. Medical terminology proficiency;
5. Above average computer skills and knowledge, along with proficiency in MS Office Suite;
6. High level of interpersonal skills to affect positive Care Coordination Outcomes; and,
7. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with people of different ages, education, and ethnic backgrounds.

_
1. BSN;
2. Minimum three (3) years clinical experience;
3. Minimum three (3) years of management experience.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
